Application Process

Applicants for Du Bois Institute Fellowships may request application materials in one of three ways:

1. Download the application by clicking here and the stipend form by clicking here.
2. Email using "Fellowship Application Request" in the subject line to du_bois@fas.harvard.edu;
3. Write to:

   Fellows Program/Application Request
   W. E. B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research
   Harvard University
   104 Mount Auburn Street, 3R
   Cambridge, MA 02138.

Each applicant should submit five sets of copies of the following materials: (1) application and stipend forms; (2) three- to four-page project description; (3) curriculum vitae; (4) three letters of recommendation (submitted separately); and 5) a writing sample to: Fellowship Application, W. E. B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research, Harvard University, 104 Mount Auburn Street, 3R, Cambridge, MA 02138. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Applications must be postmarked by Thursday, 31 January 2008.
